Chardonnay 2023

With the colour of fresh straw just cut and raked, this Massey Dacta Chardonnay shows grapefruit pitch, French oak spice, Brazil nuts, some popping corn and bright citrus zest. This is carried through to the palate with lemon and white peach texture, mealiness, spice with a long finish - clean and textured with a generous almost savoury mouthfeel. There is plenty of flavour and a finish that is both rewarding and refreshing. Super stuff!

The 2023 Marlborough summer was one that provided some farming challenges, but not due to any issues with the tractor. The dacta just soldiered on through the season of a particularly hard spring frost followed by intermittent rain events through the season that kept us on our toes.

Sourced from our own organic family vineyard, handpicked to maintain vibrancy and acidity allowed to go ‘feral’ and behave accordingly. Showing remarkable vibrancy yet complex lasting finish. Bottled 11th November, 2023.
